The master bedroom area is tucked away in the loft area, which gives it a private but airy environment. Integrated storage and wardrobe areas, as well as a desk tucked away in the corner, make a functional and uncluttered bedroom space. The same wall treatment as the floor below covers the custom furniture and storage units.
Further down the line is a work and library area. Set off from the rest of the space with a unique shelving divider, the office is light and airy. The glass desk is modern but features a base made of natural wood branches, which helps inject more of the avant-garde feeling. The same lighting fixtures are seen here, but the library section includes cloud-like lanterns scattered across the ceiling for a dreamy effect.
Sometimes an apartment can seem smaller than it actually is and that’s usually because of bad planning of the floor space or an impractical layout. This 48.5 square meter apartment in New Taipei City, Taiwan is a pretty good example. Its original interior design was fragmented, with lots of walls separating the spaces, creating a claustrophobic ambiance. Then came A’Lentil Design and gave the apartment a complete remodel.
